tuesday we decided to take the californians to one of our favorite summer places... noah's ark! we grew up going to noah's ark every summer and figured it involved water, so uncle robby would enjoy it. but before we could start on the water slides, olivia had a request from her birthday we had to fulfill. so we headed to extreme world for...
olivia had seen a special on the travel channel about this place in the dells. they have some crazy rides, mostly bungee jumping, but also this one called terminal velocity. basically they raise you up on this platform, lower you through a hole in the platform and drop you into a net. you are not attached to anything, no ropes, nothing. it is a freefall. olivia was the only one who did this ride. :) she is the black dot in the picture below:
she enjoyed it so much that she did it a 2nd time too while her mother had a slight heart attack while not watching this at all. here is olivia in the net after her 2nd fall.
finally it was off to some rides i can handle. aunt julie still couldn't handle many of the rides...but we all had a good time. i love noah's ark. flash flood is still my favorite.
it was a perfect day for water slides since it was like 92 degrees and the lines were surprisingly not horrible! when the park closed, we headed to uncle wayne's house for dinner. he & mary ann live in baraboo, so it was nice and close. we enjoyed a fun dinner and then the "kids" and i headed to madison. the adults were staying at wayne & mary ann's, but siobhan, olivia & daniel were all coming to stay at my apartment in madison for the night.
