and the wedding craze begins...

ah weddings. seems to be my life the past few years. my dad even commented a few weeks ago that "wow. you get invited to an awful lot of weddings!" guess that is what comes of being involved in a college ministry and being in my mid-twenties.

this summer is no different. in may i have 3 weddings. yikes. what a way to kick off the summer.

this summer is a little different in that my brother is getting married. aaron is 24 and has been engaged for like a year and a half or something like that. i'm super excited for the wedding (june 20th!) and we are starting to get into a little more heavy wedding plans now. i've helped a lot with invitations lately and we are starting to make plans for hair & nail appointments and all that fun stuff now. this weekend we had the first bridal shower. andrea's 2 sisters & sister-in-law are the other bridesmaids and they hosted this one. it was here in madison at barb's (andrea's sister & matron of honor) house.

this is maya. she is andrea's niece and one of the flower girls. andrea has 2 nieces and 2 nephews and they are all in the wedding. maya is 3 (almost 4!) and she had the privilege of being the only kid at this shower. she of course took advantage of this and had a ridiculous amount of chocolate covered strawberries! they were delicious!


















maya also enjoyed helping "ea," as the kids call andrea, open presents.














i did not get my usual job of writing down what gifts the bride got, however i did get the job of creating the bow bouquet. how did i do?


















now, time to make invitations for the bridal shower i'm hosting at the end of may!
