the last of the weddings in 2009

the last 2 weekends in september i had weddings to go to. that finished off my wedding tally of 2009. i believe it was 8 this year. not my highest ever, but a little busier with one of those weddings being my brother's!

anyways, thought i would throw up a couple pics from my cousin adam's wedding. never a dull moment with that side of the family!

i spent most of the day chasing after these adorable hooligans... :) mackenzie & ela (the 4 year olds) spent the day with me. i did their hair and "make-up" before the wedding and they rode with me to the reception and such. i was in high demand when it came to where i was going to sit at dinner, and all in all, it was a really fun day with all of them!

all day long, my cousins kept switching between apologizing for how much work their kids were and thanking me for being willing to put up with it! honestly, i loved every minute of it. they are so cute and it was fun hanging out & playing with them! they really do say the funniest things! my cousins repeatedly reminded me that anytime i needed help with anything, i was supposed to call them so they could repay the favor. i definitely plan on calling in some favors when i get married so that kayla will make my cake! :) she is pretty good at it as seen by the cake she made for adam and sarah below... (plus it tastes way better than some of the wedding cakes i've had before!)

most of my cousins are older than me and they are all married with kids now too. so there are a lot of little kids at our family gatherings. mason LOVES seeing ela. he chases he around the dance floor, stares at her, and as you can see, gives her big hugs when he can catch her!

especially since towards the end of the evening when my cousins were able to take more care of their kids again, that was when ela decided to throw up all over. i sure was glad that i got the fun time with her and then when she got sick, her mom was able to handle that! poor girl...
