summer is ending...

dad's birthday was on september 2nd and so we wanted to get to a brewer's game as a family to celebrate. after i hung out with sam a little while longer and of course after jess and i got our starbucks :), i headed to meet my family for a little tailgating and the brewers game.

happy birthday dad. your son really loves you. ;) hehe.

holly's parents were visiting that weekend, so they headed over from madison for a good ol' wisconsin experience. seriously, none of these willmans had tailgated before. strange. oh well, we gave them a pretty good tailgate experience (seriously good food mom) and dad enjoyed his new birthday grill. oh, and did i mention this was the first time the gehrkes & willmans had met? 5 years and this was the first time! everyone got along, no blood was shed, everyone laughed at holly, i would call it a success. :)

i'd been wanting to get some of these pictures for a while at miller park, but never made it over to this area of the stadium. this time, since we had great seats, we happened to be right near them! so i made holly suffer through them with me. ;)

here i am with polish. holly took hot dog, so i went with polish. he has some cute blue stripes on!

quote from our dads: "we think you are a great catch!" haha. oh dad. the sense of humor in the accountant and the actuary were scarily similar! ;)

holly graciously let me have ryan and she took beefcake. classic. ryan is not as cute here in statue form. oh well. we can still pretend.

okay, this seems a little silly. but now i have been to 4 brewer games this summer. and i have also seen the giants play 3 times. really?! crazy. brewers vs giants twice. rockies vs giants once. wow. this is our new favorite giant player. he was right in front of us. and pretty cute.

here is proof that the brewers can actually score runs. i don't know where the problem lies in winning games. ugh. maybe next season.

holly about had a heart attack when she realized mike cameron was not playing. luckily he came out towards the end of the game. and we had a good view of him. which made her feel a little better. of course, my dad enjoyed making comments to annoy her about the guy who had replaced mike cameron. he came dangerously close to getting hit. seriously.

after the game, my parents, me, holly & her parents headed to cheesecake factory for a little dinner. YUM. deliciousness in every bite. of course there was like an entire page of the menu that holly was allergic too. they serve a lot of chicken there. whoops! as we were getting ready to leave, a waitress came over to ask us if we had been at the brewer game. i guess the t-shirts gave us away. she asked the score and we sadly had to inform her they had lost. she then told us that jeff suppan (one of the brewer pitchers) was sitting in the other section! haha. awesome. anyways, it was a great day. although the brewers winning would have made it a little better.
