one of the classic madison spots would have to be picnic point. it is a peninsula that sticks out into lake mendota and has a number of great paths and picnic areas along it. also, some gorgeous views of the lake, downtown, and campus. it is a really fun spot. despite the mosquitos. so we decided to head out there one night since amy had never been and it was on her list to accomplish this summer.
along the way, holly discovered many little toads. she decided to catch many of them and we jokingly told her maybe one would turn out to be her prince. she also proceeded to name every toad she caught. here she is with jerry.
holly didn't want a butt picture here, so everyone turned around for this picture. kind of defeats the purpose of taking a picture of everyone walking, but still turned out pretty fun. :)
we made it to the end of picnic point! a little sweatier and slightly covered in a few spiderwebs, but we made it!
holly is very excited to be holding both frank K and lauryn hill!
here's hoping this last toad turns out to be her prince!
he didn't but that's okay. we will remain on the lookout. someday he will come...
okay now that song is stuck in my head. awesome.
