Stanley Cup Finals

i was reading today and planning on doing a really great in depth post about some of the things i was learning about, but now i am completely distracted and focused on something completely different....the detroit redwings. as i write this the game is heading into its 3rd overtime period as the score is tied 3-3 with the pittsburgh penguins. craziness. if the redwings win tonight, they win the stanley cup! if the penguins win, it goes to game 6.

this is a little bit different side of me, but i really do love hockey. i was just talking to holly (my roommate) and she was trying to explain the game to our friend jenn. apparently jenn kept saying that she couldn't picture me doing this. i laughed. that is the reaction i generally get. my 5th grade teacher mentioned it all the time. i don't know what it is. i love the ice. the feel of skating on it. i love the feel of scoring a goal, of stepping up and stopping someone else from scoring. i like being able to connect with my brothers over something. i did like the feel of a team, although there were a few tough moments with that. but through that i did get a chance to do things a little differently than my teammates and give them a little bit more of a glimpse into who Jesus is.

overall, i love hockey. and i just thought i would share a little piece of that with you as i try to distract myself from the craziness of this game.
