and the wedding season begins...

for the past few years, my life has been full of weddings.

probably a result of the combination of my life stage & my profession. but every year from may to september, my life is a busy mess of weddings, showers, and travel.

last summer was a little slower in the wedding department. i got my hopes up that it meant my wedding craze was slowing down.

in 2007 i had a wedding every month from march through august, and 3 in august.

in 2008 i think i only had 2 or 3 weddings.

don't get me wrong. i love weddings. i love watching my friends enjoy their special days. i love seeing what the Lord has done in their lives. i love getting dressed up and seeing people i haven't seen in a while.

but weddings get EXPENSIVE. and being single for so long gets old after a while. okay, maybe shorter than a while.

yesterday my wedding craze began again. in full swing. in the month of may i have 3 weddings and i'm hosting a wedding shower. let's just say my weekends are booked for now! ;)

and next month my brother gets married. weird.

but that entails a lot. like that shower i'm hosting, a bachelorette party, eight gazillion family members coming, and my mom wanting to redo & clean every part of the house.

gotta love it.

it's going to be great.

all this to say, i had a great time at wedding #1 of 2009. :)
